Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is about to begin a five-game suspension because he put Rudy Gobert in a chokehold during Tuesday night’s melee with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Many people have very negative feelings about what Green did, but one Warriors teammate is supporting him 100%.
Warriors rookie Brandin Podziemski gave his opinion to Willard & Dibs on 95.7 The Game.
“From my perspective, I just saw Draymond stand up for his teammate. I wouldn’t want to have any other teammate in that situation besides Draymond,” Podziemski said.
He went on:
“Draymond will stick up for anybody on our team. Just because it was Klay doesn’t mean anything. If it was anybody else, he would have done the same thing. That’s the great part about being Dray’s teammate. He’ll stick up for you no matter what.”

Green is definitely someone who loves to stand up for his teammates and coaching staff.
He has always been a strong supporter of everyone associated with the Warriors.
But no matter the reason, people are still up in arms about Green and his actions during the recent fight.
Obviously, the league greatly disapproved of what Green did but many fans and analysts also think that he went too far.
While he may have been standing up for Klay Thompson and attempting to help him in a fight, numerous people have noted that he immediately went for Gobert, someone he has had problems with in the past.
In other words, it looked personal for Green.
With Green out, the Warriors will be without two of their biggest stars on Thursday: Stephen Curry will also miss the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder but is expected to be back soon.
In his last game, Podziemski posted 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists off the bench.
Without Green or Curry, the team will need him to perform like that again.
