The Golden State Warriors continued their good form with a win over the Charlotte Hornets in a low-scoring affair on Friday night.
Although many fans lost interest in the game due to both teams scoring less than 100 points after four quarters, Lester Quinones’ last-second fight rejuvenated interest.
Quinones got into a heated scuffle with Miles Bridges and Grant Williams of the Hornets upon the Warriors sophomore’s attempt to score a last-second layup.
It led to a dramatic ending to the game with Quinones getting ejected from the game.
After the game, Warriors rookie Brandin Podziemski revealed a great Steve Kerr gesture in the wake of him signing a new $35 million contract extension with the team via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“But yeah, he told us after he’s going to pay for Lester’s ejection,” Podziemski said.

Podziemski was asked about his thoughts on coach Kerr securing a humongous deal with the Warriors.
The Dubs rookie joked about how Kerr announced that he would be paying Quinones’ ejection fines with the new deal.
Considering the Warriors recently converted Quinones’ deal to a standard contract, he remains the lowest-paid player on the Dubs by earning $548,000 for the season.
Podziemski also mentioned how Kerr thanked everyone who has contributed to the Warriors’ success over the years.
The Warriors rookie concluded by saying that Kerr deserves the new deal as he has led the team to four NBA championships.
Podziemski also emphasized his desire to win the fifth NBA championship this season.
Can Kerr fulfill Podziemski’s dream of leading the Warriors to another prestigious Larry O’Brien trophy?
