It’s been quite the year for Golden State Warriors rookie Brandin Podziemski.
Podziemski was the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and it wasn’t entirely clear how much time he’d get on the floor in 2023-24.
But he has been given plenty of time to shine by Steve Kerr and he’s made the most of it, averaging 9.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists during his 27 games this season.
Speaking to Chris Haynes and Marc Stein on “#thisleague UNCUT”, Podziemski said that he wants to be a “super impactful” player who isn’t afraid of any task or any opponent.
Podziemski said that he has made it clear that he is willing to play defense and block anybody in the league and he believes his message is coming across clearly.

Podziemski claims that other teams have taken note of his skills and his mindset, which is why he isn’t as challenged as he was at the start of the season.
People have gotten a taste of his talent and they know he’s the real deal, Podziemski said.
Podziemski has averaged 23.4 minutes per game this season and has started in 8 of 27 games so far.
The Warriors have suffered through a lot this season, from injuries to inconsistent players.
That has led the coaching staff to call on Podziemski more than some people expected and he’s taken every chance he’s had to shine brightly.
The young player is talked about as one of the best rookies in his class and has had several breakout performances.
Based on this interview, it is clear that Podziemski is confident in himself and what he can bring to the team.
A lot of changes could be coming for the Warriors, so does that mean Podziemski will get even more time with the starting lineup?
