The Golden State Warriors easily took down the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, adding to an impressive record to start the season.
Steph Curry went wild in the game, of course, and led the team but there were other supporting stars who helped out a lot.
One of them was rookie player Trayce Jackson-Davis, who scored the first double-double of his career with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Speaking with NBC Sports following the game, Jackson-Davis spoke of a lesson he’s learned since joining the team.
“Always being ready,” Jackson-Davis said.
He continued, “Those guys instill a lot of confidence in me. They expect me to go out and perform when your name’s called. I found I was playing kind of this morning, and so you’ve always got to be ready.”

This is just his second game of the season, and it’s easily his best yet.
During his inaugural game, Jackson-Davis didn’t score a thing, but he did a lot better on Monday night.
Of course, he got way more time on Tuesday too.
During his first game, against the Sacramento Kings, Jackson-Davis was only on the floor for a little under five minutes.
But during Monday’s blowout against the Pelicans, he was playing for nearly 20.
The Warriors were doing so well that head coach Steve Kerr gave Jackson-Davis a chance to shine, and that is exactly what he did.
What is next for the rookie forward after such a promising second game?
That depends, but it’ll still be hard for him to get a ton of time on the floor during most games, especially if they are close.
But if Jackson-Davis keeps making an impact during his limited moments in games, we could be seeing a lot more of this young man.
