Dillon Brooks was the talk of the NBA world on Monday night, but not for good reasons.
During the Houston Rockets’ game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooks was part of several contentious moments.
He pushed Jarred Vanderbilt from behind when Vanderbilt was in mid-air and he also committed a hard foul against LeBron James, drawing the ire of the Lakers and many fans across the league.
Warriors reporter Monte Poole was very disturbed by what he saw from Brooks and asked on Twitter, “Wonder if this guy will be seriously penalized after his nasty act puts someone on the injured list for a few weeks. Or months.”

There are many people who are unhappy with the way that Brooks plays.
To them, it is one thing to trash-talk against opponents but putting them in danger of physical harm is a whole other thing and should be penalized by the league.
Brooks has had run-ins with multiple teams, including the Golden State Warriors.
He was a major figure with the Memphis Grizzlies when Memphis faced off against the Warriors a couple of postseasons ago.
During that series, Brooks was rough and abrasive and was actually suspended during Game 3 because of a Flagrant 2 foul that fractured Gary Payton’s elbow.
Brooks has shown no signs of changing the way he plays, so the league will either start to crack down on him or it’ll just be an acceptable part of his game.
No one was seriously injured on Monday night, thankfully, but history suggests it’s only a matter of time before Brooks hurts someone again.
