The Washington Wizards and Golden State Warriors are two of the many NBA teams that could be making changes before the upcoming February 8 trade deadline.
But will they help each other and commit to a trade together?
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, via NBACentral, the Warriors are one of the teams “who could have an interest in Kyle Kuzma” of the Wizards.

Both the Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs are the other teams who could take a run at Kuzma, who has been with the Wizards since 2021.
This season, Kuzma is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists on 45.6% from the floor.
He has improved his game during his several years with the Wizards which could earn the team a bigger return if they trade him.
According to Scotto, the Wizards would “want future first-round picks beyond the 2024 draft with the potential to become lottery picks to consider parting with their best player.”
Scotto noted that the Grizzlies and Spurs don’t want to give up those lottery picks.
If the Warriors are okay with that component of the trade, they could acquire Kuzma.
Kuzma could greatly assist the Warriors with the backcourt and could become a crucial part of their rotation.
However, it remains to be seen what players Golden State would give up, along with lottery picks, in order to get him.
According to Scotto’s report, the Wizards don’t have a sense of urgency to move Kuzma so his departure from the team is not a sure thing.
That means they will only move if they get the right sort of offer—something they feel like they can’t say no to.
