The Golden State Warriors were not able to secure a win on Sunday night, falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 116-110.
This was Golden State’s third loss in a row, and, to some, it was evidence that something needs to change in the team’s lineup.
Chris Mullin sat down with NBC Sports following the game and said that head coach Steve Kerr has to surround Stephen Curry with teammates who can “find their rhythm and their flow.”
“It’s not just the starters or the subs. I think that Steve Kerr has to look at sprinkling in a few different lineups,” Mullin said.

Mullin said that Curry has been putting up MVP numbers so far this season.
He’s right: Curry has averaged 30.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in the early days of 2023-24.
But the rest of the team hasn’t been doing as well and Sunday night was a prime example of that.
While Curry produced 38 points for his team, the player closest to his total was Klay Thompson who had 16 points on 5-of-16 shooting from the floor.
Dario Saric and Jonathan Kuminga had 11 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench but no one else was in double digits.
This is a pattern fans have seen before, and it is one they hope Kerr will address soon.
Even if Curry is doing miraculous things on the court, the Warriors won’t be able to go far into the postseason if the rest of the team isn’t stepping up and helping out.
The season is young, and Kerry has time to tweak his lineup, change things, and find an approach that works.
He needs to, because if this is the way the rest of the season will go, it won’t be a pretty one for the Warriors.
