The Golden State Warriors haven’t been at their best in the 2023-24 NBA season.
The organization has struggled to win games even as they have entered the floor at full strength.
However, things are only about to get tougher for the Warriors, with Gary Payton II getting sidelined indefinitely due to a torn calf injury.
Payton II may not stuff the box score when he’s on the floor, but his impact on the Warriors is unmatched.
After the unfortunate injury, Payton II shared his views on it via his official Twitter handle.
Appreciate the all the love 🖤🤟🏾

Prior to getting injured, Payton II was putting up 5.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game for the Warriors.
Payton II has also established himself as one of the toughest defenders on the current Warriors team.
All things considered, the Dubs will certainly miss the veteran guard’s presence on the floor over the next few games of the 2023-24 NBA season.
As of now, the Warriors haven’t played at their best, as they are currently the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 9-10 record.
Sure, the season isn’t over yet, but the way that the Warriors are playing right now, it’s hard to see them improve a lot over the remainder of games.
Stephen Curry has been one of the only few good things about the Warriors this season.
But for how long can Curry hold up this level of performance? It’s hard to say.
After all, Curry is not getting any younger and will turn 36 years old sooner rather than later.
