The NBA world is still remembering the life, career, and legacy of Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.
Milojevic passed away earlier this week at the age of 46 and the team has been in mourning ever since.
According to LoonMuse on Twitter, Warriors big man Kevon Looney went to social media to celebrate and remember his friend, mentor, and coach.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better coach, teacher and brother the last few years,” Looney said.
He added, “It was [a] blessing to meet and learn from you. The knowledge and wisdom you gave me will be passed on and your legacy will always be remembered. R.I.P. Dejan.”

Milojevic joined the Warriors back in 2021 and was in his third season as part of Steve Kerr’s close-knit coaching staff.
On Tuesday night, he suffered a heart attack at a private team dinner while they were visiting Salt Lake City for a game against the Utah Jazz.
After his death on Wednesday, the game against Utah was postponed and the Warriors haven’t played since.
Since his passing, individuals across the league have spoken about the impact Milojevic had on them.
He was very close with many people, not just members of the Warriors.
In the days since his death, it’s become very clear that Milojevic was a kind, caring man who had fostered deep friendships with people from every corner of the league.
Looney has been in the NBA since 2016 and has improved his game over the years.
This season, he is averaging 5.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.
Players and coaches grow very close when they work together and it’s clear that Looney and the rest of the Warriors squad truly loved Milojevic.
