Following the departure of Kevin Durant from the team in 2019, the Golden State Warriors struggled to get back to winning ways for a couple of years.
Fans had high expectations from the team when they landed the second overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
At the time, the Warriors picking James Wiseman seemed like a good decision, but fast forward to 2024, the Dubs undoubtedly missed out on some great talent in the draft.
Among them is none other than Indiana Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton.
Speaking of being snubbed by the Warriors in the draft, Haliburton recently shared his views, via Ronald Ocean on Twitter.
“I like Golden State a lot, that was like dream,” Haliburton said.

The Golden State Warriors have been to six NBA Finals and won four NBA championships since 2015.
It’s obvious that playing for the Dubs in the modern era is a dream come true for any player in the league.
Haliburton mentioned had he been drafted by the Warriors with the second pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, it would have fulfilled his dream.
Haliburton continued to talk about how he unfortunately botched his workout with the Warriors and missed about five shots.
It resulted in Haliburton heading to the Sacramento Kings as the 12th overall pick.
At the end of the day, the Warriors regret the decision of allowing Haliburton to go the Kings.
After all, Haliburton is currently one of the best players in the league.
He has averaged 21.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 11.7 assists per game for the Pacers in 43 appearances this season.
