The Golden State Warriors don’t have to prove themselves anymore, especially following their latest NBA Finals victory.
Few people would argue with the idea that the Warriors are one of the greatest teams in the league – and its history.
But there is competition within the NBA aiming to overtake the Warriors.
The challenge these other teams face is that no one can stop the red-hot core of Golden State.
Only 2 teams in the NBA currently roster 3 2022 NBA All-Stars:
Golden State Warriors:
– Steph Curry
– Draymond Green
– Andrew Wiggins…. And the Cleveland Cavaliers:
– Darius Garland
– Jarrett Allen
– Donovan Mitchell— MoreForYouCleveland (@MoreForYou_CLE) September 2, 2022
The core is so red-hot, in fact, that it holds a special distinction.
There are only two teams in the NBA that currently have three 2022 NBA All-Stars.
One of those teams is, of course, the Warriors with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins.
The other team is the Cleveland Cavaliers, with Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and the newly-acquired Donovan Mitchell.
Having just one All-Star is a huge honor for any team, but three?
This is just one of the many things that set the Warriors apart from other teams.
All-Star Gang
Curry, Green, and Wiggins are certainly a major part of the team and a huge reason why they were able to defeat the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
But the thing that is so great about the Warriors is that their roster is so stacked and so deep, these All-Stars are just the beginning.
Take Klay Thompson, for example: he wasn’t an All-Star this year (he had just returned to the NBA after years rehabilitating) but he’s still phenomenal and helps the team in some huge ways.
Jordan Poole is another instance of a non-All-Star doing All-Star things.
Jonathan Kuminga and Kevon Looney are a couple more superior players who aren’t technically All-Stars.
The Warriors are in a league of their own with the number of All-Stars they have but even their players who haven’t achieved that status are still superstars.
