You would think that just months after winning the NBA Finals and only weeks before training camp, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr would want to take it easy.
Maybe he’d go on a cruise, kick back his feet, and practice his barbecuing skills in the backyard.
No, it doesn’t seem that way: Kerr is still solely focused on basketball.
Steve Kerr has been named a coach for the 18th Basketball Without Borders Africa Camp in Egypt.

It has been announced that Kerr will coach the 18th Basketball Without Borders Africa Camp this week in Cairo, Egypt.
This is a sign that Kerr really believes in what basketball stands for, what it can bring to people all over the globe, and the future of international players.
BWB Africa
The Basketball Without Borders Africa Camp will be held on August 28 – August 31 at the Hassan Mostafa Indoor Sports Complex in Cairo.
This will be the first time the NBA and FIBA’s global basketball development and community outreach program will be held in Egypt and the first time on the continent since 2019.
The basic idea behind BWB Africa is this: it will bring 60 of the top male and female players 18 and under from across Africa to learn from the pros.
So these kids will be able to get pointers and advice from Kerr, a terrific player and one of the best coaches of all time.
Kerr has repeatedly proven himself and his ability to lead a young team to the top of the standings in the NBA.
His Warriors team can be credited with changing the entire league and the way that people play and watch basketball.
So, who wouldn’t want to be coached by him, even if it is just for a few days?
The young people attending BWB Africa are in for a real treat – and are about to have their skills improved in a huge way.
