Last season, the Golden State Warriors had a dreadful record on the road.
This season, things are looking a lot better, and head coach Steve Kerr is proud of what his team has achieved so far.
Speaking to Anthony Slater following Wednesday night’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, Kerr said that he knew the opening stretch of the season was going to be tough because so many games were on the road.
“We looked at it and said we gotta get through that stretch,” Kerr stated.
“We did more than that. We’re 6-3, 5-2 on the road,” Kerr proudly declared.
He then said that the team will focus on practicing together even more now that they are heading home for the next six games that will all be in the Bay Area.
The Warriors had seven of nine on the road to open the season: “We looked at it and said we gotta get through that stretch. We did more than that. We’re 6-3, 5-2 on the road.”

The NBA definitely loaded the Warriors up with a lot of away games to start the year.
After an opening night game at home, they have played their last seven of eight games on the road.
Those games have included showdowns against the Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City Thunder, Nuggets, and more.
It hasn’t been an easy road for the Warriors, but they are already proving that the road woes that bothered them last year aren’t flaring up as badly.
They came close to taking down the reigning champions on Wednesday night and even pulled ahead of them briefly during the game.
However, it just wasn’t enough and the Warriors earned their third loss of the season.
Now that they have spent so much time on the road, Golden State will settle down at home and face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and others.
Their next road game isn’t until November 22, when they go toe-to-toe against the Phoenix Suns.
What will they be able to accomplish at home?
