The Golden State Warriors secured a 4-1 record in the preseason after their Friday night loss to the San Antonio Spurs, which has given head coach Steve Kerr a lot to think about.
Speaking to the press after that loss, Kerr touched upon his feelings about the preseason and how well his team is doing.
“Overall, camp went well,” Kerr said, adding that the team is “relatively healthy,” although Draymond Green is still not back from his injury.
Kerr went on to say that the “guys are really connected” and that the team has a “really good, deep bench.”
“I like the team, but we’ve got a long way to go,” Kerr concluded, according to a video from NBC Sports.

Fans of the team had a lot to be happy about during the preseason.
First and foremost, Stephen Curry looked in good shape, turned in, and ready to have another strong season.
Some returning stars were also shining, especially Jonathan Kuminga, who could be poised to have a breakout year.
Kerr is absolutely right when he says that the team has a deeper bench this year.
That is paramount to the success of the Warriors, who cannot solely rely on the starters, especially as they are all getting older.
The Warriors weren’t perfect, and some of their bad habits from last season were popping up, such as some porous defense at times.
There are still many questions surrounding the team, such as when Green will return and how Klay Thompson will perform in the midst of stalled contract negotiations with the team.
Kerr likes a lot of what he saw during the preseason, but he’s obviously not 100% satisfied and expects more from his team.
