During his four seasons with the Golden State Warriors, Jordan Poole became an important part of the team and gave them a much-needed boost of energy and offensive power.
Things didn’t end well between the Warriors and Poole but head coach Steve Kerr still appreciates the young player and what he did for the team.
Speaking with 95.7 The Game, Kerr talked about Poole returning to the Chase Center when his Washington Wizards play the Warriors on Friday.
“Well, number one I’m excited for him because I know our fans are going to give him an enormous ovation. And he deserves that,” Kerr said.
He went on: “He’s a champion. We don’t win that championship without Jordan.”

It’ll be interesting to see how Warriors fans welcome Poole.
Poole played very hard for the majority of his time with the team and he was indeed a big part of the lineup as they won the Finals in 2021-22, scoring 17 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists during that playoff run.
Poole was also a fan favorite during his period with the Warriors and the loyal fans loved the way that he played and his attitude and spirit.
Still, when he hit a rough patch in the last postseason, many people felt it was time for the team to move on.
That is exactly what they did, trading him to the Washington Wizards, the second-worst team in the East.
Poole’s adjustment to the Wizards has had a lot of ups and downs but he has more motivation to perform well on Friday night.
Does that mean he will look like a vintage version of himself and how will the Warriors handle that?
