The Golden State Warriors started the 2023-24 NBA season with a 5-1 record, but the team has spiraled down a slump since then.
So much so that the Warriors have slipped from the top eight spots in the Western Conference.
Following their most recent defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors have now fallen to a 10-12 record.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared his thoughts on his players committing 29 turnovers in the overtime loss via NBA analyst Anthony Slater’s official Twitter handle.
“But if we are just going to throw the ball to the other team and foul over and over, then we’re going to lose,” Kerr said.
Steve Kerr postgame on the 29 turnovers: “We have enough to win a championship. I believe that. But if we are just going to throw the ball to the other team and foul over and over, then we’re going to lose.” pic.twitter.com/pealCFzKBU

Despite the poor performance against the Thunder, Kerr believes that the Warriors are still capable of winning an NBA Championship this season.
Speaking of their matchup against the Thunder, the Dubs suffered a close 136-138 defeat in a game that went to overtime.
As mentioned earlier, the Warriors committed 29 turnovers in the game.
While Kerr said the team has the potential to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy in a few months, the Warriors head coach also believes committing needless turnovers won’t do any good for the organization.
The Warriors have slipped to the 11th seed in the Western Conference, as they continue to spiral down in the season.
In their last 10 games, the Warriors are just 4-6 in the regular season.
Considering the Warriors have already played more than 20 games in the season, and they aren’t over the .500 mark this season, it’s certainly not a piece of good news for the organization.
Can the Warriors still make a comeback this season? As of now, the chances of it happening seem bleak.
