The Golden State Warriors faced some tough words from Charles Barkley following their opening night loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Barkley called the Warriors the fourth-best team in California and said that they were old and not going to get any better.
Of course, head coach Steve Kerr caught wind of these comments and had a response.
Speaking on Willard & Dibs on 95.7 The Game, Kerr said, “Well, I used to work with Charles and his predictions are about 90% off. His hit rate is probably about 5-7% so I’m feeling pretty good about that.”

It sounds like Kerr is taking Barkley’s comment well and isn’t allowing it to get under his skin.
While it is true that Barkley’s predictions aren’t always accurate, he isn’t the only one foreseeing a tough road ahead for the Warriors.
Tuesday night’s game could be a good indication of what awaits them this season.
Although many of the players on the team did well, the Warriors just couldn’t keep up with the Suns.
Stephen Curry scored 27, Klay Thompson had 15, Chris Paul scored 14, and Jonathan Kuminga started the season with 12 of his own.
They were good, but they just weren’t good enough.
Curry, Paul, Thompson, and Draymond Green are definitely getting older, so Barkley’s concerns about the team’s age aren’t unfounded.
But it remains to be seen if the Warriors will really be the worst team in California.
They have been counted out before, and through the hard work of the team and the brilliant mind of Kerr, they have bounced back.
The entire Warriors organization is eager to prove the critics, including Barkley, wrong.
