It has become very clear that there is something wrong with the Golden State Warriors.
The team now has a 17-20 record and faced one of their worst losses of the season on Wednesday when they were taken down by the New Orleans Pelicans, 141-105.
Injuries, suspensions, and sloppy playing have impacted the team all season long, but head coach Steve Kerr believes something else is bothering them.
According to Jason Dumas, via Legion Hoops, Kerr says he thinks the Warriors have lost their “spirit, confidence, and belief.”

Those are tough things to lose, especially in such a competitive league.
Now the question is if they can get them back.
Just a few weeks ago, the Warriors went on a five-game winning streak, but since then they have fallen in six of eight games.
If they continue playing like this, they won’t make the Play-In Tournament, let alone the playoffs.
That would be a drastic change for a team that won the Finals just a few seasons ago.
There is obviously some true talent on the roster but that obviously isn’t enough as the Warriors continually collapse to their opponents, sometimes by huge margins.
Throughout the year, they have been defeated even after carrying a substantial lead.
It is as if they do not believe in themselves, which certainly suggests a lack of confidence.
It is surprising to see a team featuring such talent and such a strong coaching staff with a serious confidence problem.
It’s up to Kerr to shake them out of this and remind them of how special they are.
If he cannot do it, this season will be lost, and major changes could be made.
