The Golden State Warriors faced another hard loss on Friday night, falling to the Sacramento Kings 138-136 in a thrilling overtime game.
Following the defeat, head coach Steve Kerr opened up about the troubles his team has been going through and their plans moving forward.
According to Anthony Slater, Kerr said:
βItβs up to us. Itβs a pattern right now. I watched this same group win a championship a year and a half ago. Theyβre champions. But theyβre not playing like it. Iβm not coaching like it. We have to figure this out.β

Kerr is right because this team won a championship just a couple of seasons ago.
Although there have been some roster changes since then, many of the stars currently on the team were there when they claimed their last title.
In other words, the talent is there and they should be playoff contenders.
He is also right that the group isn’t performing like champions and he isn’t coaching like one.
It’s not clear what Kerr means when he says that the Warriors have to “figure this out” and get back on track.
What does that look like and when will it happen?
Is it even possible for the Warriors to compete for a championship at this point or has their rough start spoiled the rest of the season?
The truth is that there is still plenty of time for the Warriors to right their wrongs and perform to the best of their abilities again.
But they will need to start showing substantial change very soon.
For weeks now, the team has won a game and then lost the next one, creating a very disappointing pattern.
When will they get out of this rut?
