Chris Paul returned to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night after weeks of being away with an injury.
Unsurprisingly, he helped the Warriors earn a 123-112 victory over the Washington Wizards.
Following the win, head coach Steve Kerr spoke with NBC Sports and praised Paul, talking about all he does for the team.
Noting that he is “always in control of the game,” Kerr said that Paul was able to lead the team, find his teammates on the floor, and deliver exactly what the Warriors needed.
“We just handle things better with Chris,” Kerr said.

Paul scored 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists during his 21 minutes off the bench.
He shot 3-of-6 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the three-point line and earned a +17 plus-minus rating for the evening.
That was the second-highest plus-minus for the Warriors, behind only Kevon Looney, who played for just ten minutes.
For the season, Paul is averaging 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 7.2 assists on 42.6% from the field.
Unfortunately, injuries have been an issue for Paul throughout the season and he has only participated in 33 games.
He has started in just 11 games but has comfortably slid into his role as a bench player, leading the second unit on many occasions with ease and expertise.
He is returning to the Warriors at the right time, as they have just won 11 of their last 14 games and are looking better than they have in a very long time.
The team’s bench recently got stronger with the addition of Klay Thompson and Paul’s return will only make the second unit better.
They have been looking good lately but Paul could make the Warriors even better.
