Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr thought that Monday’s game against the Denver Nuggets was downright “disgusting.”
That is what he said in a post-game press conference, according to a video shared by Anthony Slater via KNBR.
Kerr was outraged by the fact that Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic went to the free-throw line 18 times during the game.
He was likely even more upset that Jokic sank every one of those free throws.
“I have a problem with how we are legislating the defense out of the game,” Kerr said.
He went on: “We are enabling players to B.S. their way to the foul line. If I were a fan, I wouldn’t have wanted to watch the second half of that game. It was disgusting. It was just baiting refs into calls, but the refs have to make those calls.”
Steve Kerr wasn’t a fan of the way the Warriors/Nuggets game was officiated in the second half.

“We have enabled the players, and they are taking full advantage. It’s a parade to the free throw line, and it’s disgusting to watch,” Kerr added.
Kerr was obviously fired up and very disappointed to see how well Jokic did during the 120-114 win over the Warriors.
Once again, he was a pivotal part of his team’s success and scored 26 points and 14 rebounds.
As for the Warriors, it was Andrew Wiggins off the bench who did the most for the team with his 22 points.
In the end, there wasn’t too much of a difference between Denver’s time at the free-throw line and Golden State’s.
The Warriors shot 20 free throws, while the Nuggets shot 26.
But Jokic definitely had a lot of time taking those shots and his 18 made a huge difference.
Some people will say that Kerr is right in his criticism of the league, while others will say that he is partly to blame.
His Warriors have transformed the league over the years and they have also been very skilled at drawing fouls and inspiring others to do the same.
Kerr is unhappy with this part of the game but he will have to live with it.
