The Golden State Warriors are all set to return after being on a short hiatus following the untimely death of assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.
The Dubs’ assistant coach suffered a heart attack at a private team dinner, and it shocked the entire team to its core.
Keeping that in mind, it’s no surprise that the NBA postponed the Warriors’ previous games with the Utah Jazz and the Dallas Mavericks.
Ahead of the Warriors’ upcoming matchup with the Atlanta Hawks, head coach Steve Kerr shared his views on returning to practice following the death of the beloved assistant coach via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“It doesn’t feel normal at all…you feel his absence,” Kerr said of Milojevic’s death.

As expected, there was a sense of sadness in Kerr’s voice during the press conference when he talked about the late assistant coach.
Kerr mentioned how it doesn’t feel normal to not have him in his corner and every person in the Warriors organization can feel his absence.
Milojevic joined the Warriors as an assistant coach ahead of the 2021-22 NBA season.
Considering he was part of the Warriors’ 2022 championship-winning roster, it’s no doubt that most players had grown close to him.
The Warriors were already struggling to win games during the 2023-24 NBA season, and now they have to deal with the impact of the tragic incident.
Keeping that in mind, it won’t be a surprise if the Warriors continue to struggle this season.
As of now, the Warriors have an underwhelming 18-22 record and hold the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
