The Golden State Warriors have struggled to play well for most of the 2023-24 NBA season.
Although the Warriors were 5-1 at one point during the season, the franchise has seemingly lost touch ever since.
As of now, the Warriors only have a 10-13 record and hold the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
A key reason behind the Dubs’ struggles is how poorly the veterans of the organization, such as Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney.
So much so that head coach Steve Kerr decided to keep Wiggins, Thompson, and Looney on the bench to close out the game against the Phoenix Suns, and he explained his decision via Anthony Slater on Twitter.
“Tonight did not feel like a night to have a lot of patience,” Kerr said.

Steve Kerr mentioned how he is always patient with his players regardless of their stature on the team.
But there is only so much patience that Kerr can show in his players.
Keeping that in mind, Steve Kerr mentioned that he finally snapped and decided to actually put the players who were playing well on the floor during the dying minutes of the game.
Despite Kerr’s decision to keep the veterans on the sidelines, it didn’t help the Warriors in registering a win.
After four quarters, the Warriors suffered a 116-119 defeat against the Phoenix Suns.
Following the loss, the Warriors are now on a two-game losing streak.
With that said, it seems extremely hard to see the Warriors making a comeback and becoming the 2024 NBA champions unless the veterans on the team start to play well sooner rather than later.
