The Golden State Warriors lost their opening game of the season on Tuesday night, but Stephen Curry still believes great things are ahead.
Speaking after the loss to the Phoenix Suns, Curry told the press that moving Chris Paul onto the team has been a “smooth transition.”
According to NBC, Curry also said that both he and Paul will “continue to get more comfortable” when it comes to who has the ball and who is initiating plays.
“There’s a lot of trust of whoever has the ball is going to try to make the right decisions,” Curry added.

Curry scored 27 points on Tuesday night, while Paul put up 14 of his own.
They were both starters for the team, which was a bit surprising to some.
There were certain fans who assumed that head coach Steve Kerr would elect to have Paul lead the team’s second unit.
But he was in the starting lineup, although that may change when Draymond Green eventually returns from injury.
For the most part, Curry and Paul seemed to work together and read each other and other players well.
However, there is no doubt that Curry and Paul’s styles are quite similar, and there is some redundancy with both of them on the court.
Both players seemed to be having a tough time from beyond the three-point line, which will need to change in the months ahead.
There will still be concerns about the Curry-Paul combination, and every time the team suffers a loss, people will question if this pairing works.
But if they can start to accumulate some wins and work even better then those critics will be silenced.
