Stephen Curry might not be a member of the upcoming All-Star Game starting five but he is still going to have a lot of fun in Indianapolis during the annual event.
According to Shams Charania, the league is planning a three-point shootout between Curry and WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu at next month’s All-Star Weekend.
Curry mentioned the possibility of this event on Thursday night during his team’s loss to the Sacramento Kings.
Last summer, Ionescu scored 37 points in the WNBA’s three-point competition and Curry has scored 31 in the NBA’s version of the contest.

Although Curry wasn’t chosen as a starter in the upcoming game, there is a very good chance that he will be selected as a reserve player when they are announced on February 1.
Instead of Curry, the Western Conference team will have Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder as the starting guards.
Curry has been a part of the All-Star starting five for years now, only being absent due to injury, so this is quite a big change for the four-time champion.
It comes as his team struggles to find its footing in the Western Conference standings and climb higher than the 12th seed.
However, a three-point competition between Curry and Ionescu could be appointment television and something that excites NBA and WNBA fans alike.
These two have been talking about facing off against each other for a while now.
Back in the summer, Ionescu challenged Curry on Twitter and Curry made it clear that he was up for the challenge.
All that talk has apparently led to the league actually laying out plans for a very special three-point contest next month.
