For the first time in years, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors missed out on being an All-Star Game starter, which was a surprise and disappointment to many people.
But on Thursday night, it was revealed that Curry was selected as an All-Star reserve, which means he will still get time during the big game later this month.
Curry hopped on social media to acknowledge the selection and thank everyone who voted for him.
Curry said:
“I never take these acknowledgments for granted! The coaches voted me in this year, but thank you to you fans who voted too. Came a long way and still got some more ground to cover. See y’all in Indiana.”

This will be Curry’s tenth career NBA All-Star Game, a major accomplishment for the four-time champion.
On one hand, it’s not surprising that Curry earned his spot in the All-Star Game because he’s having yet another terrific season.
The 35-year-old guard is averaging 27.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5 assists per game on a 45.5% field goal percentage.
He is still one of the most dedicated and dominant guards in the league and truly one of the greatest players in NBA history.
At the same time, his Warriors are still struggling, have a 20-24 record, and sit as the 12th seed in the West.
Because of their troubled track record, it seems that some people overlooked Curry this year, despite his amazing work.
Perhaps Curry will use his snub as a starter as motivation to play even better during the upcoming game in Indianapolis.
He was named All-Star MVP a couple of seasons ago, can he do it again this year?
