The Golden State Warriors faced yet another disappointing loss on Monday night, this time falling to the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies.
Following that defeat, Stephen Curry spoke to the press and made a reference to Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown.
According to a video shared by Anthony Slater, Curry said, “We gave up 40 free throws. I don’t want to be Mike Brown up here going through them all to see how legit they are.”
He is obviously referring to Brown’s outburst at referees the other night, when he charged on the court at officials and was thrown out of the game.
Following that, Brown pleaded his case in a post-game press conference, defending his outrage.

Curry wasn’t too pleased when he looked at the numbers from Monday’s game.
Not only did his team lose 116-107, but they got trounced when it came to free throws too.
The Warriors only had 10 free throw attempts in the game, while the Grizzlies had 40.
That is a huge disparity and obviously helped the Grizzlies claim the victory.
Many people thought the Warriors were going to get an easy win because the Grizzlies are missing several of their biggest stars and are the 13th seed in the West.
But they couldn’t be slowed down and were on fire from beyond the arc, landing 20 three-pointers compared to Golden State’s 10.
It was yet another painful night for the Warriors and a stark example of how lacking they are when it comes to defense.
Again and again throughout the season, they have fallen to teams because they haven’t been able to limit their output from the free throw and three-point line.
Sadly, Monday’s game looked a lot like many others for the Warriors this season.
