The Golden State Warriors got worked on Wednesday night, defeated by the New Orleans Pelicans, 141-105.
It was one of the worst defeats of the season for the team, which has faced quite a few bad ones already.
Following the game, Stephen Curry was asked if the team needed to show the front office that it should stay together by the upcoming trade deadline.
Curry’s response said a lot.
“It’s pretty evident that if things stay the same…That’s the definition of insanity, right? Do the same thing and expect the same result?” Curry said, via Legion Hoops.

To hear that sort of statement from the most important player on the team means something.
He is essentially claiming that big changes are on the horizon for the team if they cannot get it together quickly.
They will have to move fast and start winning or else the team’s front office could make some substantial changes.
While Curry obviously wouldn’t be part of those changes, could the team be saying goodbye to players like Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, or others?
The Warriors could make some drastic choices after such a lackluster season.
The team is now sitting at a 17-20 record, placing them as the 12th team in the West.
The trade deadline is now just a few weeks away and the recent past has given very little evidence that the Warriors can break out of this slump in time.
Curry is right: the Warriors cannot expect different results if they are just doing the same things.
So, what does a change look like for this struggling team?
