Stephen Curry experienced a “scoring flurry” on Saturday night, scoring 8 points on back-to-back Warriors possessions twice during a game against the Atlanta Hawks.
According to Todd Whitehead, nobody else in NBA history has more of these impressive, dominant “flurries.”
Curry has done this 96 times during his 14 seasons in the league, while James Harden has done it 80 times, Damian Lillard has done it 74 times, and then others like Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving, and Luka Doncic have done it more than 30 times.

Curry just couldn’t be slowed down on Saturday and scored 60 points, shooting 57.9% from the field and 43.5% from the three-point line.
He was by far the best scorer for his team and was reaching historic highs.
But, sadly, it wasn’t enough and the Warriors fell 141-134 to the Hawks.
Saturday’s showing is more proof that the Warriors are experiencing a slew of problems.
It’s never a good sign when a squad’s greatest player scores so much and the team still loses.
For the season, Curry is putting up 28.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5 assists on 45.9% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point line.
But the Warriors are just the 12th seed in the Western Conference and clinging to a 21-25 record.
The front office is desperate to get things on track and there is very little doubt that they will be working hard this week before the upcoming NBA trade deadline.
It’s not surprising to hear that Curry is the only “untouchable” player on the roster.
Most reports say that anyone else in Golden State could be on the move within the next few days.
Curry is still a phenomenal player but his retirement is approaching and the Warriors only have a few more years left with him.
They need to do whatever they can to build a strong lineup around Curry, especially since he is still playing like this.
