The Golden State Warriors walked away with an important win against the Utah Jazz last Thursday, scoring a 140-137 road victory right before the All-Star Break.
It was a good night but also notably different for one major reason: Klay Thompson did not start in the game.
Speaking of Thompson not being a part of the team’s starting five, Stephen Curry said that he felt “weird” about the whole situation, according to NBC Sports.
“It was weird,” Curry told Malika Andrews of ESPN.
He added: “I’ve come off the bench a couple of times and seen him start, so it was weird to switch roles.”

Thompson hasn’t been a bench player since his rookie year but head coach Steve Kerr felt it was time to use him in the team’s second unit.
Thompson has made no secret of his struggles this season and the numbers prove that he is having the worst year of his career.
But Thursday night’s performance suggested that maybe Thompson could be turning things around.
Thompson posted 35 points on 59.1% from the floor, wowing the fans and showing that he still has a lot of talent even though the rest of the season hasn’t been good for him.
“For him, there’s only one way for him to respond: the way that he did,” Curry said about Thompson and his big game.
The Warriors are now just barely above .500 with a 27-26 record so Kerr will have to decide what is next for Thompson and the team.
Will he remain part of the bench or will he be promoted back to his spot with the starters?
After months of struggles, it feels like the Warriors might have something special brewing.
So are any changes coming or will Thompson remain a bench player for the foreseeable future?
