Last season didn’t go as planned for the Golden State Warriors.
Any time the defending champions aren’t able to at least reach the NBA Finals again it is seen as a disappointment.
The biggest problem Golden State had last year was their road record, which was a sub-par 11-30.
Stephen Curry sat down with Zena Keita on NBC to talk about how the team will address that issue and avoid it in 2023-24.
“Whether it was moments during the game, whether it was a bad approach collectively…we acknowledge it, embrace it,” Curry said about the troubling record on the road.
Curry stated that the team is now “more mature” and healthier too, which will only help.

It was shocking to see the Warriors lose so many home games last season.
Their overall record was 44-38, which was good enough to get them to the sixth seed in the West.
But fans imagine how much higher they would have been in the standings had their road record been stronger.
As Curry admitted, the team had a bunch of issues.
There were injuries, tough opponents, some growing pains, and a series of bad decisions too.
All of it added up to a lackluster season for the Warriors.
They have been counted out before and have come back to win the Finals again.
Could history repeat itself and will this season’s Warriors be one of the best teams in their conference?
Curry can help make that happen by simply replicating the output he had last year.
He produced a jaw-dropping 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists last season, some of his best numbers in years.
The Warriors had their problem areas last year but Curry was not one of them.
