Fans of the Golden State Warriors were a bit surprised a couple of years ago when legendary rapper Snoop Dogg presented Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors with a Death Row Records chain.
Snoop had made a habit of giving elaborate chains to certain athletes and Curry was honored by the gift.
Snoop has always been a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, so what led to him giving a chain to a Warriors star?
Sitting down on the All The Smoke show, via @solomon_tech on Twitter, Snoop called Curry the “greatest to ever do it,” and also spoke about what the Warriors icon did for his community.

The world-famous rapper said that Curry showed up in inner-city Los Angeles to speak with young basketball players, tell stories, and spread inspiration.
That act alone had a huge impact on Snoop, who saw Curry in a brand new light.
He obviously greatly respects Curry, which led to the Death Row chain.
No matter which team you support, it’s hard not to be blown away by Curry and the work he has done during his 14 years in the league.
Even now, at 35 years old, Curry is putting up 27.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5 assists per game and is still shooting 44.9% from the field and 40.3% from the three-point line.
The Warriors have been in very bad shape all season long but Curry has remained consistent and again shown everyone why he’s a generational talent.
However, while Snoop may have given Curry a chain and fostered a friendship with him that doesn’t mean he isn’t still loyal to the Lakers.
