The NBA trade deadline is quickly approaching and the Golden State Warriors are still in very rough shape.
Does that mean the former champions will make some massive moves to get back on track?
Appearing on Road Trippin’, former NBA player Richard Jefferson laid out what he thinks the team should do.
“They gotta retool it all,” Jefferson stated plainly.
“I think Draymond, to me, is one of the most untouchables,” Jefferson said, while also adding that everyone else is “on the table.”
Jefferson doesn’t think the team has to part ways with multiple stars and isn’t sure if a full rebuild is necessary.
But he does believe that the front office should not write off the concept of trading away anyone they need to, short of Stephen Curry and Green.
Curry is, of course, the best player on the team and Green can greatly assist him.
Plus, Jefferson noted that Green would be hard to trade because of his past actions and repeated suspensions.
All of that could prevent other teams from wanting to sign the star.
From Klay Thompson to Mosses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, and others, Jefferson believes that everyone should be a potential trade asset.
This is the only way that the team can quickly build a better roster around Curry.
The chatter around this team has only grown louder recently, as they haven’t been able to get out of their rough stretch of games, even losing to the inferior and short-handed Memphis Grizzlies.
Many people believe the team will definitely commit to trades before the deadline and most won’t be surprised if some major players are sent away.
