Within a few weeks, the Golden State Warriors could look very different.
After a very difficult season, the team is looking to jump into the trade market, shake things up, and make some major changes.
But according to Sam Veceinie of The Athletic, the team doesn’t want to let go of two particular players: Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.
“League sources believe new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. values both at a very high level and would love to hold onto them if he can,” Vecinie reported, according to Basketball On X.

One can understand why Dunleavy wants both of these players.
Kuminga is in the middle of his third season and is putting up his best numbers yet: 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
Moody, also in his third year, is averaging 8.7 points and 3.1 rebounds.
Both of these players are young and getting better.
They bring the sort of energy that the Warriors need badly right now.
Because of that, they might be sought after in any potential deal with other teams.
Whether it be the Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, or another squad, they might want to sign Kuminga or Moody because of all their potential and what they can bring.
That means the Warriors will either need to dig their heels in and stay committed or give up on one or both of these players.
Other teams throughout the league know that the Warriors are in a difficult position and desperate to get better.
Perhaps other front offices will use that to their advantage and demand Kuminga or Moody, which would put Dunleavy and his staff in a very uncomfortable situation.
