After Draymond Green’s latest outburst on the court and his subsequent suspension, there were plenty of Golden State Warriors fans thinking the team could cut ties with the four-time All-Star.
But that’s not the case, according to a recent report shared by NBACentral.
Monte Poole says that the Warriors remain “committed” to Green and the veteran core of Green, Klay Thompson, and Stephen Curry.
According to Poole:
“The Warriors remain committed to Green, who along with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, compose the team’s veteran core. Though multiple league sources tell NBC Sports Bay Area that Golden State will be active approaching the deadline, there has been nothing to indicate a move that would break up that decorated trio.”

Even before Green’s recent controversy, some people were assuming the end could be coming for this big three.
That is because the Warriors haven’t been winning as much lately, and the trio of Green, Thompson, and Curry is aging.
Additionally, Thompson has had his share of problems on the court this season and Green has been inconsistent at times too.
NBA basketball is a young man’s game and there were some fans who thought the Warriors would break up this core in favor of new youthful energy.
But Poole’s report makes it clear that Golden State still believes in these three, who have helped the franchise score four championships.
The Warriors may be in a tough spot right now, and this season has definitely been disappointing so far, but that doesn’t mean we have seen the last of Green, Thompson, and Curry together.
Other changes could be coming to Golden State soon but don’t expect to see these three friends drift apart.
