The Golden State Warriors are currently one of the best teams in the NBA.
They are off to a solid 6-2 record for the season as they firmly sit at the third position in the Western Conference.
But even after the great start to the season, the Dubs are trying methods to improve their roster.
A step in the right direction was signing Gui Santos from their G-League team, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Considering it’s a huge moment for the young forward, Santos expressed his feelings via the Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“I can’t wait to go up to Golden State, and that’s a dream come true,” Santos said.

Playing in the G-League takes a lot of talent, but the ultimate goal for every player is to get the call-up to play in the NBA.
Santos shared he’s looking forward to make his Warriors debut and expressed the call-up as a dream come true.
Gui Santos played for the Santa Cruz Warriors during the 2022-23 season, where he averaged 8.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over 17 games.
Santos impressed many as he earned seven starts last season.
With the Warriors dealing with lingering injury issues to Draymond Green, Santos will have a chance to make a place in the team and earn quality minutes.
Santos signed on a three-year deal with the Warriors, with a mere $75K guaranteed over the stretch.
So, if the Warriors do not see Santos as a befitting player for the team, they can offload the contract pretty easily.
Santos filled the 14th spot on the team roster ahead of the crucial game against the Denver Nuggets.
