It’s been a long time but James Wiseman is finally playing for the Golden State Warriors again.
True, it was during a Summer League game against the San Antonio Spurs – in other words, it didn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things – but it was still great to see the big man back on the floor.
Fans watching the Summer League were curious to see how Wiseman would perform after so many months away from the game.
He was on a minutes restriction during the SL game on Sunday night but he still made his presence known.

Right off the bat, Wiseman was eager to help his team: in fact, a pick-and-roll between him and Jonathan Kuminga started the game.
It started the Warriors off on the right foot and it assured fans that Wiseman was back.
He would eventually score 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
He also found two rebounds and 2 blocks too.
It’s obvious that the regular season will create more headaches and challenges than the Summer League but was Sunday’s game the big night that Warriors fans had been waiting for?
Wiseman Is Back
It has been a long time since Wiseman played an official game.
He has been sidelined from the basketball since April 2021, when he tore his right meniscus and started the long road to rehabilitation.
This was after just one season with this Warriors, in which he put up 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and .7 assists.
Of course, since then the Warriors have gone on to win the Finals and reclaim their title as the most-feared team in the league.
But with Wiseman back, they could be even great, even stronger, even more fearsome.
Wiseman will keep playing in Summer League games as he prepares for a return to the team in the fall.
That means we will definitely see more games like the one against San Antonio on Sunday night.
