The Golden State Warriors have lacked their usual swagger when playing games during the 2023-24 NBA season.
There have been a plethora of reasons behind the Warriors’ downfall this season, and one of them is the absence of Draymond Green from the roster.
In the beginning of the season, Green missed a few games due to an injury.
Later, the four-time NBA champion was handed an indefinite suspension by the NBA due to his continuous on-court altercations with opponents.
Speaking of Green, NBA legend John Salley recently pointed out one key role of the Warriors forward via Run It Back on Twitter.
“I believe [Draymond Green] is the energy,” Salley said.

Salley was asked to share his thoughts on Green’s return to the Warriors roster during the team’s recent matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Well, Salley believes Green is the energy source of the struggling Golden State Warriors.
While Salley did label Green as the heart and soul of the team, the 33-year-old star’s return to the roster didn’t help the Warriors win their recent matchup.
In fact, Green played just 24 minutes off the bench and contributed 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists to the Warriors.
Keeping that in mind, it wasn’t a surprise that the Warriors suffered a 107-116 defeat at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Following the loss, the Warriors are now the 12th seed in the Western Conference with an 18-22 record this season.
Considering the Warriors are just one game away from reaching the midpoint of the regular season, things are looking bad for the 2022 NBA champions.
