Could the Golden State Warriors’ big three be breaking up for good?
That is the question that many are asking now that Draymond Green has been indefinitely suspended because of his latest on-court incident and ejection.
Speaking on Run It Back, Shams Charania said that the Warriors want Green, Klay Thompson, and Steph Curry to remain a solid unit until retirement but added that that might not happen.
“You have to make the best decision for the organization, and that means going with Jonathan Kuminga moving forward,” Charania said.
Michelle Beadle then asked Charania if there was a chance that Kuminga would keep his position as a starter even after Green came back.
“1000%,” Charania said.

For weeks, people have wondered if Steve Kerr would make changes to the Warriors’ starting lineup.
It is very clear now that he will, even though he didn’t plan to.
With Green out, Kuminga will step up and fill the void that has been left in the team’s frontcourt.
The 21-year-old has averaged 11.9 points and 3.5 rebounds so far this season.
If he can build up on his numbers and help the starting five find a better rhythm, there is a very good chance that Green may find himself on the bench whenever he comes back.
Although many people within the organization still deeply care about Green, they have been forced to play without him a lot because of incidents like this.
He has essentially forced their hand to build a roster that doesn’t include him.
No one knows how long Green will be gone and the team can’t wait around so they are going to forge forward with a new lineup, and it may end up being permanent.
