When it was first announced that Draymond Green was indefinitely suspended by the NBA, Golden State Warriors fans knew that they’d be without him for a good deal of time.
Now a timetable for his return has become more clear.
Shams Charania is reporting, via NBA on TNT, that Green has started the counseling process and is “expected to remain sidelined via suspensions for at least the next three weeks.”

Does this mean he will be back right after those three weeks or does more time away from the game await Green?
To some people, a return in about three weeks sounds like a long time, and for others, it doesn’t sound like long enough.
Some fans are surely curious about how much self-reflection and counseling Green can do in such a short amount of time.
It is important to note that Green has been given particular milestones that he has to meet for the league to reinstate him.
Those milestones, however, are private, and no one is sure what they are.
What is clear is that Green has a lot of work to do, both in the present and in the future.
He needs to do whatever is necessary to ensure that he doesn’t get himself into another situation like this ever again.
The Warriors have a bunch of tough opponents over the next few weeks, including the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks, and others.
Of course, they could use Green’s help but he won’t be back with the team until the middle of January at the earliest.
Will fans get a better idea of this re-entry process soon and will people know what sort of work Green is doing?
Much of this remains in secrecy.
