Most people agree that the NBA All-Star Game has grown fairly stale over the last few years and some changes are needed.
Because of that, the league is introducing a new competition this year during the All-Star Weekend: a three-point contest between Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors and WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu.
The event was announced last week and it’s generated a lot of excitement among all NBA fans.
On Monday’s Run It Back, Lou Williams praised the upcoming event but also admitted that he thinks Curry will lose during it.
“I’m going to shake the tree up a little bit. I’m going with Sabrina, let’s do it,” Williams said.

Curry is the best three-point shooter of all time but Ionescu could present a true challenge to him.
This season, Curry is posting a 40.3% three-point percentage, but Ionescu shot 44.8% for her New York Liberty in 2023.
She is widely considered the best three-point star in the WNBA and there is a very good chance she could take Curry down when they are both shooting from downtown.
This three-point shootout between Curry and Ionescu is welcomed for a number of reasons.
Firstly, it’ll just be a lot of fun to watch.
But more importantly, it shows that the league is trying to tweak All-Star Weekend and add excitement to it after years of fans crying out for change.
Curry is still waiting to see if he will be an All-Star reserve.
He missed out on making the Western Conference starting five for the first time in years but there is a strong possibility that he will still be playing in the game next month.
