If you doubt the Golden State Warriors, you better expect to hear from Klay Thompson.
Now that the NBA season is over, it feels like the Warriors were always the odds-on favorites to make the Finals and win it all.
Sure enough, they were able to easily reach the Finals and didn’t break too much of a sweat against the Celtics during the ultimate tournament.
But there were people all season long who felt the team didn’t have what it took to go all the way.
“I know it hurt them bad.”

Thompson addressed those doubters, including the media analysts who didn’t believe in Golden State.
On Instagram Live, Thompson, chilling in the sun, had a few words to share:
“Anyone who has the ‘expert’ under the TV analysis of their respective sport but never really did the damn thing, you can’t trust them. You can’t trust their opinion, you can’t trust their expertise because they literally said we were dead in the water. And what do we do? Win the championship. So how did it feel? I know it hurt them, I know it hurt them bad.”
Thompson doesn’t seem too upset about the idea of “hurting” the haters.
In fact, it sounds like he wants to do it again next season too.
Doubting The Champs
Thompson is correct when he says that there were many who didn’t think the Warriors were capable of winning the Finals.
They had multiple reasons why: Steph Curry’s dry spell mid-season, Thompson’s return to the game after years away, Draymond Green’s injuries, and the looming challenges of the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies.
But the Warriors really did get the last laugh.
There will be people doubting again next season but there seems to be a lot of confidence in the Warriors, especially in Thompson.
