The Golden State Warriors have undoubtedly been the most successful NBA team in the last decade or so.
The organization has gone to six NBA Finals appearances and clinched four titles in the process.
But last season, the Warriors’ streak of never losing against a Western Conference team in the playoffs under Steve Kerr’s coaching was broken.
However, even before that, the Warriors were given a tough time by the Sacramento Kings in the First Round of the playoffs.
Although the Warriors ultimately won the series in seven games, many believe that a new rivalry has been born between the two sides and Klay Thompson agreed to it via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.

In the 2022-23 season, the Sacramento Kings advanced to the NBA playoffs for the first time in 16 years.
It was the longest playoff drought in NBA history, but the King’s momentum last season was stopped by the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors continued their dominance over the Kings in the two teams’ matchup during the 2023-24 season.
The Dubs registered a comfortable 122-114 win against the Kings.
Keeping that in mind, Klay Thompson still considers the Kings vs. Warriors games a new rivalry which speaks volumes about the Kings’ talent.
Either way, fans are counting on seeing the two organizations get matched up once again in the postseason in hopes of seeing a different result this time.
If the dream turns into a reality, will the Kings take revenge for their defeat in the 2023 playoffs? Well, the entire Kings organization will wish for it.
