The Detroit Pistons made them work for it but the Golden State Warriors were able to score a 113-109 win on Friday night.
A huge part of Golden State’s win was Stephen Curry, who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Following the game, Klay Thompson spoke with NBC Sports and talked about the power of Curry.
“There’s not many people in the league who can do that. He’s one of very few. He might be the only one actually,” Thompson said.

He was referring to Curry’s shooting and his ability to close the game on Friday night.
He went 7-of-19 from the field during the game against Detroit and several of his shots came at the perfect time, sealing the deal for the Warriors and giving them their 17th win of the season.
The Warriors now have a 17-18 record and are the tenth team in the West.
Thompson also had a strong game on Friday, scoring 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
This was a much-needed win for the Warriors, who have been struggling a lot lately and are desperate to shake themselves out of this rut.
The Pistons provided them with a win that should inspire them for a while, but for how long?
Next up for the team is the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, followed by the New Orleans Pelicans, Chicago Bulls, and Milwaukee Bucks later this week.
Friday’s win over the Pistons featured strong contributions from several players on the roster, which is a good sign because inconsistency has plagued this team for months.
But Thompson believes that, once again, it was Curry who saved the day and led the team.
