Kevon Looney has been ready to play for the Golden State Warriors this season.
He has started in 17 of the team’s 20 games and has averaged 5.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.
The 27-year-old big man has been reliable for the team in multiple ways.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Looney is on track to participate in his 214th consecutive regular-season game on Wednesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, which matches Klay Thompson’s longest streak.
This is the tenth-longest streak in franchise history and a huge feat for Looney.

Looney has not missed a Warriors game in almost 33 months, which speaks to how his teammates can always count on him to perform.
He now has the second-longest active streak in the league, behind only Mikal Bridges of the Brooklyn Nets, who has played for a remarkable 411 straight games.
When you add Looney’s regular-season games to his postseason appearances, he has played for 248 consecutive games, which is the seventh-longest streak by a Golden State player.
Inconsistency has been bothering the Warriors all season so the fact that they can always turn to Looney is a big deal.
They hold a 9-11 record right now, which places them in 11th place in the Western Conference and far from where they wish to be.
The team has faced a few rough losses lately and is hoping to get back on track on Wednesday night against the Blazers.
Following that, they will have to battle some tough teams: the Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, and Los Angeles Clippers.
It’s not clear if they will win those games but one thing is a safe bet: Looney will show up and be ready to play.
