The Golden State Warriors are still in bad shape, sitting as the 12th team in the West with a 21-24 record, but they do have at least one or two bright spots on the roster.
Jonathan Kuminga has been doing very well lately and has impressed millions of Warriors fans.
After a rough start to the season and questions about his future, Kuminga is now front-and-center on the team and Kendrick Perkins is happy about that.
“Steve Kerr came to his senses!!! Let this young fella be great,” Perkins said on Twitter after reading about Kuminga’s amazing eight-game run.

During these last eight games, Kuminga has averaged 25.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2 assists.
This is just the latest confirmation that Kuminga has legitimate talent and should be taken seriously as a crucial part of the lineup.
Just a few weeks ago, there were a lot of questions about Kuminga and his future with the Warriors.
He was reportedly upset with his role on the team and had supposedly lost faith in the coaching of Kerr.
According to those reports, Kuminga and Kerr had a sit-down conversation and hashed out their differences.
That apparently did the trick because the star player has been outstanding since then.
There was a time when it seemed like the Warriors would trade Kuminga away before the upcoming deadline but now the front office is adamant about keeping him.
The state of the team is still really bad so other changes will surely be coming within the next week, but Kuminga will be staying around for the foreseeable future.
And if he keeps playing like this, he could give the Warriors a sliver of hope during one of their worst seasons.
