Jordan Poole played a crucial role in the Golden State Warriors winning the 2021-22 NBA Championship.
With Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green by his side, Poole quietly impacted the game with his scoring ability.
However, last season, he had a fallout with Draymond Green, which resulted in the Dubs’ chemistry getting ruined throughout the 2022-23 campaign.
Keeping that in mind, the Warriors traded Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul earlier this offseason.
Poole recently opened up about his exit from the Warriors via NBACentral on Twitter.
“I got a ring. Made sure my family is straight. A good situation to come in [to Washington] and just kind of have my own team, play my own type of basketball,” Poole said.

Jordan Poole gave an extremely honest answer about getting traded away from the Warriors.
Poole claimed that he achieved everything he wanted while playing for the Warriors.
Well, Poole did win an NBA Championship, groomed under Stephen Curry, and signed a heft 4-year, $128 million contract.
Poole expressed his happiness about having his own team where he can play his own brand of basketball.
While in theory, it seems like a great idea, so far, Poole has struggled to get going in the 2023-24 season.
Over the first seven games of the season, Jordan Poole has averaged 17.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, shooting at 41.5% from the field and 31.9% from the three-point line.
Considering he’s only playing 26.9 minutes per game, Poole can average even better numbers once he plays a significant amount of minutes for the Wizards.
Unfortunately, Poole’s numbers so far haven’t translated into many victories for the Wizards, as they currently have a 2-5 record in the Eastern Conference.
