Like many other NBA superstars, Stephen Curry is sometimes accused of attempting to draw fouls from other players.
The future Hall of Famer recently said that he’s not a “foul baiter” and the stats prove that he’s right.
NBC Sports highlighted Curry’s free-throw attempts per game during multiple points in his career.
Back in February of 2016, Curry was only putting up 4.7 free throw attempts per game.
That number hasn’t changed much but in February of this year, Curry was only trying 3.1 free throws per game.
This shows that he isn’t getting fouled as often as some people claim and the idea of him being a “foul baiter” has been officially put to rest.

Many people are amazed that Curry is still posting 27.8 points per game at this point in his career.
Because of that eye-popping number, some say that he is getting a lot of fouls in order to pad his statistics.
But the graphic above refutes that claim and shows that free throw shots aren’t a huge part of his point totals.
Critics of Curry want to find anything that can degrade his game and lessen his value and skill but facts like this make that so hard.
On Friday night, the Warriors scored yet another important win, this time against the Charlotte Hornets.
Curry scored 15 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists during the 97-84 victory.
The Denver Nuggets are next for the Warriors and then they will take on the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, and Toronto Raptors.
Curry has been having a sensational season, without many free throws, and that should continue in the days ahead.
