The Golden State Warriors are currently in the midst of a challenging season, with a number of tough losses and a lack of production from multiple star players.
Speaking on Gil’s Arena, Gilbert Arenas said that one Warriors player will be at the center of any Golden State comeback.
Unsurprisingly, Arenas claimed that Stephen Curry will have to keep playing well every single game and carrying the team.
Arenas does hold onto hope that at some point both Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins will break out of their rut and start playing better too.
Then and only then, will the Warriors be able to compete with the rest of the Western Conference.
Curry is doing incredible work, despite the problems of his team.
He is currently averaging 29.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game while landing 47.6% of his field goal attempts and 43.1% of his three-pointers.
Curry is a bright spot for the team, but even with his MVP-caliber numbers, the Warriors are struggling.
They are the 11th team in the West with a 9-11 record.
It has been a month since they have won two games in a row and they recently pulled themselves out of a six-game losing streak.
If the Warriors are going to bounce back from all of this, they will need Thompson, Wiggins, Draymond Green, and everyone else to get involved.
But Curry will have to remain at the center of it all, playing his heart out and putting up stunning numbers.
Once again, he doesn’t get the luxury of taking it easy.
