The Golden State Warriors have been looking a lot better lately and have won their last 10 of 12 games.
After months of the team not being cohesive, things are finally clicking for the Warriors and Gary Payton II thinks that the work of Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson is a huge part of the recent success.
Speaking to NBC Sports on Friday night, Payton said that the team was supportive of Wiggins and Thompson all season long and “let them be them” when they were getting through their rough stretches.
But he says both players have been “phenomenal” lately as the Warriors have finally gotten on the right path again.

On Friday night, Wiggins scored 14 points against the Charlotte Hornets, while Thompson posted 13.
Things have been very different for Thompson lately, as he has accepted a role in the second unit for really the first time in his career.
In his first game coming off the bench, Thompson impressed with 35 points but he only posted 3 points in his second game as a bench player.
He is still inconsistent but the flashes of his old self are giving fans hope.
There were many fans wondering about the future of both Wiggins and Thompson throughout the season.
Some people thought that the front office would trade away one or both of these players because of the problems they have experienced.
But the team decided to stick with these two and it seems like they are finally pulling themselves out of their ruts, although neither are perfect right now.
If these two keep getting better, the Warriors’ record will only improve as the postseason approaches.
